The 11th International Symposium on CBM/CMM in China will be held in the Landmark Hotel on December 1-2,2011 in Beijing, which is cosponsored by US Environmental Protection Agency and China State Administration of Coal Mine Safety, and organized by China Coal Information Institute.
 
Background
As an important event in CBM/CMM sector, International Symposium on CBM/CMM in China workshop has become a platform to promote the development of CBM industry through strengthening the technical and economic cooperation in CBM/CMM recovery and utilization at home and abroad.
 
The 2-day-symposium will be provide participants the opportunity to communicate the focuses of the Twelfth Five-year Plan of CBM industry, showcase the latest theoretical and technological advances on CMM control and recovery, and meet with potential project partners and financiers, so as to help the participants to improve the cooperation. Important government officials from USEPA, NDRC, National Energy Administration, State Administration of Coal Mine Safety, and experts from relevant international organizations, universities and companies will be invited to attend the symposium and make presentations.

Who to attend?
This symposium is targeted at government officials, technical researchers and staffs on CBM recovery and utilization, engineers from ventilation and gas control department of coal companies, manufacturing enterprises of CBM/CMM recovery and utilization equipments, and professionals from GHG mitigation and trading companies.
 
Languages of the Workshop
The languages of the Workshop are English and Chinese. Simultaneous interpretation will be provided.

Call for Papers
Participants are welcome to submit their papers or to give presentation at the symposium. All the papers should be submitted to the organizing committee via email (cbmc@coalinfo.net.cn) by October 18th, 2011.The papers submitted within the deadline will have the chance to be included in the proceedings and the priority to be presented in the symposium.
 
Venue of the Workshop
The Symposium will be held in the Landmark Hotel. Located in the heart of the city, Landmark Hotel provides an ideal base for shopping and exploring the Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square, and the famed Silk Market. Beijing Capital International Airport is just a 20-minute drive away. A limited number of rooms have been booked just for the participants at special rates. Please submit the registration form no later than October 18th, 2011 to get the room reservation confirmation at the special rate.
 
Registration
The fee for each delegate, including accepted authors, will be US$400 inclusive of registration fee, materials, working lunch, receptions, etc. The expenditure for accommodation will be borne by the delegates. Delegates to the symposium should complete the attached Registration Form and send the form to the Organizing Committee via email (cbmc@coalinfo.net.cn) or fax (0086-10-8465 7948) by October 18, 2011.
